Q:
Do all the 3 case fans come with speed sensor connector (3 wire)?
A:
Yes, all 3 comes with 3pin connector for speed sensors.

Q:
Do I have to unplug all of the PCI and AGP cards to work on the removable motherboard tray?
A:
No, the entire back end of the case (not including the Power Supply) comes out.

Q:
Does Kingwin’s cases support onboard USB?
A:
Yes. There are 2 cables that you can find inside the case each labeled DATA +, DATA -, VCC and GROUND. If your motherboard supports onboard USB, then you should be able to find the appropriate pins to connect those connectors to. Please refer to the motherboard manual to find out how.

Q:
How do I use the USB cable and Firewire cable that’s attached to the case?
A:
Both the USB cable and the Firewire cable is for routing the ports on the back of your system to the front panel.

Q:
I want to replace the fan on the case, but there is no screw for them, how can I take the fans off?
A:
All of the fans are secured to the case using black plastic clips. Do not try to get it off from outside, it’s virtually impossible to unclip the fans without breaking the clips. Locate the clips from inside the case, apply some pressure using a pen or a screw driver, and the clips will come off very easily. Note that you should always start from inside.

Q:
Is the front USB ports on the Kingwin Cases USB 2.0 compliant?
A:
Yes, the front USB ports of all of our cases are USB 2.0 compliant.

Q:
The case fans in front of the case is a bit too noisy, how can I quiet it down?
A:
Use the hidden fan control to set the fan to spin slower.

Q:
The existing tray plate does not match my motherboard, how can I get it off?
A:
The try plate is only snapped into the case. It’s bendable and you can get it off by applying some pressure from outside. Don’t worry too much about breaking the case. The aluminum is thick and strong.

Q:
What is tech specs on the three 80mm case fans on KT-424?
A:
The specs are:

  • Fan manufacture – Evercool
  • CFM specs – 32.4CFM
  • Dba sound level spec – 25DBA

Q:
What’s the largest motherboard that will fit in Kingwin’s cases?
A:
For KT-11 series, 12″ x 9 3/4″ is the limit, and KT-424 series can fit motherboard with size up to 13″ x 11 1/4″, anything larger than that will not fit.

Q:
Where is the hidden fan control?
A:
The fan control is hidden behind the front panel. Take the panel off, you’ll find it right below the power switch and the reset switch.

Q:
Which one of the wires harness in the pair set from the front of the case is ground?
A:
Power LED:Ground(White)/Power(Green). H.D.D. LED:Ground(White)/Power(Red). Power switch:Ground(White)/Power(Orange). Reset switch:Ground(White)/Power(Blue). Speaker:Negative(Red)/Positive(Black)
